Ross In Wonderland

Reframe Studios, Stage West, Los Angeles, August 2026. One day load-in, 300 guests.

The Ask

Ross Stores wanted an immersive influencer event, Ross In Wonderland: a forest built inside Stage West at Reframe Studios for 300 guests, with performances by Ryan Charles and a supporting DJ set. An 80 by 80 foot draped perimeter at 20 feet, two tunnel entrances, a 30 by 30 gifting suite, and a separate silent disco room.

What We Built

Full production management from design through strike, including the structural engineering and city permitting for the temporary structures, stamped drawings for the scenic build, and the pre cladding inspection. Ground supported pipe and drape at 20 feet across the environment, the tunnels, and the gifting suite, with truss dead hung from house steel for scenic banners and suspended chandeliers. A 24 by 16 foot performance stage with a downstage step and access stairs.

Lighting design and package, 56 wireless uplights and 16 theatrical spots with gobos on DMX, run by a dedicated lighting engineer. A distributed PA and DJ package with wireless and stage monitoring for two performers, projection for the silent disco, Camlock to Socapex power distribution, and atmospheric haze. Traffic control, brand ambassadors, and event security around the building.

Twelve of us on site: eight crew, two supervisors, a production assistant, and a videographer who captured the whole build and show behind the scenes. We loaded in on day one, handed the room to the client’s decor team to dress on day two, ran the show on day three, and struck on day four with the stage turned over to the next production the same day.
